This guy.

He pretty much has our hearts....from those sweet little dandelion-picking fingers, to those bug-squashing fists (oops), to his non-booty, to his sweet little lisp.  He is a new animal every week.  He's gone from kitten to frog to crab to shark over the past few weeks, staying in character with his pretend play.  He'll hug my neck everytime I ask him and kiss my lips in hopes I am wearing chapstick.  Nothing makes him happier than a rough wrestling match with Daddy or cuddling with his lovey and some good books (though just a couple before he's squirmy).  The trashguys make him squeal with glee and he can't help but throw handfuls of sand and sawdust in the air, even though he knows it's going to blow back on his face.   He'd be fine only eating breakfast the entire day and he's way too old for his "ba-ba" (pacifier) but....it's still there.  He cracks us up and makes us say, "Why are you so sweet?" several times a day.  Did I mention we love this little man??!
I like this below picture because it's the same "intense" face as his Daddy has.

He loves making "trains" by putting all his vehicles in a row.
Some flowers I was gifted with last month.  We loved having them beautify our table!
Filter-paper flowers make our breakfast nook window lovely!

A day at the "Sand Pit"

 Quinn's creation....
There's always time to stop and catch a ladybug!

Of course we went to Niko Niko's.

ViaBeck and a Quinnism

Beck has a piece of green sprinkler riser he found on the ground that he loves to play with in the bathtub.  The other day Matt went to get him out of the bath.
Matt: Time to get out, buddy.
Beck: NOOOO, Dada.  I'm not done shaving my legs! (proceeds to demonstrate how he uses the sprinker riser to shave his legs.)

Today:
B: Opa likes old cars.  What does Oma like?  Hmmmmm. (he says 'hmmmm' so cute!)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q's turn:

Beck made a paper at Bible study today and glued a great big sparkly letter "B" on it.  He pulled it off on the car ride home.  As we're getting out of the car:
Me: (handing him his paper) Don't forget your paper, Buddy.  And here, your "B" fell off!
Q: What?  What?
Me: Letter B.  His Letter B fell off his paper.
Q: Daicia!  You NEED to say LETTER B so I don't get all excited about a bumblebee for no reason.  ALWAYS say LETTER B if it isn't a real B.

A couple Saturdays ago.

Opa helping Beck open his garden tools.
No thank you, he does NOT want in the box when it's not his idea.  Wait 5 minutes and he'll get in himself.
Matt had caught the friendliest box turtle ever that morning.  The kids had a blast playing with him and giving him wagon rides.

Getting the cooker ready for a little shrimp boil:
(Quinn took these pics of us enjoying our shrimp, corn, taters and other goodies!)

Beck ate two lemons for dinner that night.  And nothing else.

Yum, yum!

A little bit of Easter.

Easter Eve we had a little get-together with some family.  It was beautiful out and so relaxing to sit out on the patio while the sun began to set.  The kids love playing out there, so they were thrilled, too.  Mostly, except for the times they fought over who knows what.  Didn't want you to think the evening was toooooo perfect.  :)  Gotta be realistic.

Papa got Beck a bubble mower.  That is pretty much the coolest thing ever in his world and has added to his powertool collection nicely.  He mowed all evening at our family get-together.  And every day since.

I have done a little spring photo card each year since Quinn was born.  I was kinda thinking of not doing it this year because we'd had a busy few weeks leading up to easter, but I just couldn't ruin our tradition.  My kids love looking through the past years' cards, so I wanted to add one for this year.  Sunday afternoon I sewed up these bunny ears for them then we had a quick photo shoot on the side of Mimi's house.  How kind of her brick to match the tones of their outfits and ears so nicely!  Beck's kept falling off.....

Papa had put this sign on the door.  He calls Quinn the chowhound because she eats so much.  He'd gotten word that she'd eaten a donut and two kolaches for breakfast the day before....
Some of the girls being silly.  Luckily by now my family is good sports about posing for photos every now and then.

With Aunt Mandy, who made the kids the sweetest easter baskets personalized with a few simple goodies that fit each kid's personality exactly.  They've had a lot of fun with their goodies!

Opening their April bags from Lindsey:

They LOVED the balloons they got in their bags!
Quinn loves a raspberry butter I make for our bagels occasionally.  She'll clean off the blender for me with her spoon....with a look of bliss on her face!  :)

He's more of a plain bagel man, himself.
