Teeth!

It's hard to see, but if you look closely (between all the gummed-up pretzel chunks), you can see two little white teeth poking out on the bottom!! They are barely through the gum, but they're up enough to count!! She has had a little white bump in her mouth for several months that we thought might be a tooth, but that went away and a tooth pushed up from underneath! Last Saturday we ate burgers with our neighbors and they gave her a popsicle. Not one drip made it to her shirt--she sucked that thing down crazy fast! Must feel good on her teethin' gums! We need to get her some more.

Quinn is obsessed with Matt's guitar. She especially loves sitting on it, but playing it is lots of fun, too. Maybe Grandbob will teach her to pick away on the banjo soon.

Soooo big...and so stubborn!

Quinn has a new trick....when we ask how big she is, she will put up her arms for "So Big!" We were trying to get her to show off her stuff for the camera, but of course she is constantly on her own agenda...the life of a 9-month old!

Forgot to tell you about her brush....

A few weeks back we took a break from painting and fixing and cleaning to eat dinner and stroll some shops. At Sur La Table Quinn fell in love with a wooden dish brush. It was on clearance, so we indulged her. It's been a favorite toy ever since. And when she gets bored of it, I can scrub some dishes.
She also has developed an affinity for climbing inside or on top of anything and everything. Boxes and baskets are her favorite!

And yes, we did unpack her clothes...But our AC got replaced on Saturday and these pictures were pre-new AC, so we were doing what we could to stay cool!

The mirror to our bathroom is in the living room right now. And that's the least of our problems. :) Moving is lots of fun...(sarcastic laugh). Anyhow, Quinn is enjoying it immensely.

A good friend gave Quinn this dress over a year ago and has been waiting patiently to see it modeled. Leonie, sorry for the lack of smiles...it was just a little bit too close to nap time! We miss you and love you!!!

Splash Day!

We had splash day at my school last week. I brought Quinn's little wading pools, but the bigger babies kept knocking her over. We finally put her in the tub my elementary kids had used for waterballoons and she loved it! The big boys with the buckets were catching water from the sprinkler and pouring it on her and she would giggle at them.

Just in case you wondered where we were.....all is well...busy, but well! I finish teaching summer school soon and the boxes in our house are (very)slowly dwindling. More updates to come!

We are switching over our internet...so we'll be without from tomorrow through the 20th....So there will likely be no updates until then. We'll be back after the 20th with more Q pictures, though!

We've officially moved into size threes....they have to work hard to keep up with this girl because she is moving and wiggling and climbing constantly! Her bookshelf is a favorite place to climb into.

Multi-tasking.....

Eating watermelon in the bath...saves the trouble of cleaning her up after!! We tried to ignore the fact that she dropped it in the water, fished it out, and started eating it again...several times.

Last Saturday....one of four trips to Lowe's that day...

Naptime....

Quinn takes her daily exercise before naptime. Crawling and climbing all over her crib, talking, yelling, jumping....I tried to catch a bit of the action but of course she spotted me and grew much more tame...

She loves all things water....

...baths, her pool, the kitchen sink, water bottles....and now, Alie's water!

Last night we were working in the garage, so we set Q out in the grass to play. Beaux came running over to her to get some petting. She was being pretty rough with him--she likes to pull fur--but he didn't seem to mind! Silly kitty.

Supposed to be sleeping....

Q had a little workout session before her nap today....she conquered all four summits of her crib. The front one tastes the best, apparently!

She fell asleep mid-sit. About 10 minutes after she fell asleep like this she woke up screaming. Bet her little legs fell asleep. :) I put her on her side and she went right back to sleep. After all, all that exertion makes a girl sleepy!!
