Happy Fall from our two little Punkin' Heads....

If it's too heavy, try accompanying the lift with a mighty grunt.

Works every time!

And of course you know that after WE STUFFED HER INTO A PUMPKIN, AND HIM, TOO, then HIM AGAIN, we had to do something fun with wearable pumpkins this year!  So here ya go, my little Pumkin' Heads!

He wasn't too sure about this but indulged me.  She, of course, loved every minute.

And tonight is our pumpkin carving party, so more pumpkin-y photos to come!!

Her new bike basket from Grandaddy and Lil! Perfect for Pickles....

Beck's duck bike.  He and I went to an estate sale while Q was at school last week and he fell in love with it.  It was $3, so I could hardly say no!
And he really does wear pants, though my photos lately don't seem to indicate that.  He rarely runs around in his scivies, I guess I just needed some pics that capture them, because the whole underware thing is a pretty big deal around here these days!

Around Here

Beaux loves us more in cooler weather.  That means he spends a lot more time in the house and on my lap.  I love him more in cold weather, too.  His mane grows back!

This guy adores brushing his teeth.  He knows he has to sit on the gray rug--no walking around with a toothbrush in your mouth unless you're over 18 is a house rule.

I usually do a "clean sweep" while the kids are napping and pick up the general clutter left out from the morning.  It makes me smile sometimes to see the little pieces of my family scattered here and there.

Beck's.  They are ADORABLY tiny.  And still too big for my scrawny boy.

Ignore the mildew, ok?  As Matt says at least once a day, "Someone should install a vent fan in this bathroom so it doesn't stay so humid."  But I love finding little trucks on the side of my shower.

And rubber ducky's on the floor.

A couple "nature pics" Matt snapped on his phone in the yard.  Critter sightings are a big deal around here, be it bird, bug, or animal.

And I got a new phone.  Which is kinda a big deal around here.  Only because I made it so, but it is. I hate getting new phones/computers/tablets, etc.  The settings are never the same and I hate that stage where I feel like an idiot because I don't know how to do anything on it.   I tried to put it off as long as possible.  Mine was dying constantly, however, and we don't have a land line, so it was getting to be a problem.  I also run with it as my GPS to track my mileage and it wasn't holding enough battery to make it through my runs (and believe me, I don't run that long), so Matt finally talked me into a new one.  He handled the whole process (which pretty much makes my brain hurt to think about...seriously)...choosing the phone, ordering it, switching service, loading all my old stuff and getting all my settings exactly how I like them, to the smallest details like the ringtones I use for texts and calls and my alarm and even the photo I like as my screen.  It was pretty painfree on my behalf, better than I expected.  I really could do without technology, I'm kinda old school, so dealing with it is not one of my favorite things.  Interestingly I'm married to a boy who literally drools over that stuff.  Works out well, I guess!  I appreciate him like crazy for taking care of me!  And of course he chose me the phone based on the camera he knew I'd like best.  See how good he is to me?!!

Random pic of the Q at school, from her school's website.

Silly Quinn

Matt and I looked over in church and there was Quinn, singing away, with her purse wrapped around her head.  Who knows why.  Probably she got tired of holding it with her hands.  Crazy girl!  And Daddy even got a shot snapped without her noticing him!

Little munchkin stole my sunglasses!
H-Do you like her dress?  She insists on wearing it backwards so she can see the buttons.  Again....crazy girl.

McDonalds!

For their birthdays Aunt Susie and Uncle Brady gave them each a McDonalds giftcard.  They were so excited to get to go there for dinner a couple Saturdays ago.  "You mean I am going to pay for my own food?  This is so cool," was Quinn's reply.  Both kids were THRILLED to get to put their own giftcards in the little card machine and order their food themselves!  Even Beck told the man his order!  It was so cute and they were so proud.  What a fun gift!

Look at Daddy rockin' the sunflare through the McD's window on his camera phone.  That boy has mad skills, I tell ya!

Beck wants so badly not to have to sit in a highchair at restaurants anymore...but he just can't handle it.  Generally we start out with him sitting on the chair/bench under the condition that if he stays sitting he doesn't have to do a highchair.  That lasts about 4 minutes before he's standing, trying to walk on the seat, etc., and off to a highchair for him!  As you can see in this photo...which was moments before he was strapped into the highchair!

And giant-footed Q showing off the giant grasshopper Mommy caught her.
