I am a little behind posting Quinn's 27-week update....it was a crazy week! Lots going on for Miss Q, though. Her big achievement this past week was that on Friday she stayed in Circle Time in her class for the whole 15 minutes! Apparently she usually doesn't make it that long and loses focus and has to have a change in scenery, but Friday she did it!
Her favorite toys these days are any necklaces (she gets aggressive if you are wearing one, believe me!!), my purse, and hairbrushes. She will play with all three of these items for the longest time! She loves it when I put my purse in her carseat and let her hold it for me. I let her carry it in the car on our way home from school in the evenings.
Quinn has a new habit of wrinkling up her mouth and scrunching her nose and then breathing in and out really fast like she's panting. I will have to get it on video because it's hilarious. I don't know why she does it, but it always makes everyone laugh. She has also learned to smack her lips when she is hungry and while she eats.
Today in church she proved that she has figured out how to drop her toys on the floor. The poor girl sitting next to us must have picked her bee teether up five times before I tied her black necklace onto it so it couldn't fall to the floor.
Quinn is really starting to get into things....anything within her reach and she has learned to crawl backwards (not forwards yet), so her reach is getting increasingly larger. She gets frustrated because she wants to go forward, but when she tries she goes backwards.
She can now sit and do just about everything...eat, talk, play, watch the doggy, and rarely falls over.
She is starting to notice when I leave her places or leave the room and is showing some seperation anxiety, which I don't love, but is of course a developmental thing....She also keeps her eyes on her daddy when he's home with her.
Oh yeah, Quinn is sitting with me as I type this and just reminded me that the computer is another of her favorite toys. She LOVES "typing" and looking at the screen. She can get my computer to do things I wouldn't even know how to do if I tried when she bangs away at it. It's amazing. Well, she is ready for a bath, so that's all for now!
