An oldie but a goodie...

Been meaning to post this one FOREVER! She was so proud that Daddy let her "drive!"

Dear Uncle Brady.....

My mommy and daddy have been doing their homework! Here I am climbing on the big pile of roots they dug out Saturday afternoon...Next project will be cleaning out all the beds and pulling out some shrubs that are yucky. We are so excited about the landscaping plans you drew up for us and can't wait to get started with the fun part. :)
Love,

Oma's Chimes

Oma taught Quinn how to touch her windchimes gently. Several times a day they would make the rounds to all the different chimes inside and out. Quinn would point to the one she wanted to touch, Oma would take her there and tell her "gently," and Quinn would make it play. She would do it over and over again!

Hanging out with Opa

Posted by Picasa

Her favorite toy at Oma and Opa's?

An old cell phone. She has important business calls to make, of course!

Hi Grandma, it's your little "deer!"

Quinn's routine at Grandma Jan's

Climb the front steps,
splash in the birdbath (she's had a nice tour of birdbaths here in WY!),
crawl down the sidewalk,
arrive at the end of the curb,
Turn around and do it all again!

Visiting Great Grandma Jan

Outside at Grandma Jan's is one of Quinn's favorite Wyoming places....
Lots of neat things to see.
Plenty of places to walk with Grandma.
A front door with a window at just her level.

Fun with the Fishies

We took a trip with the Grandmas to South Dakota (about an hour and a half away) to take Quinn to the fish hatchery. It was a gorgeous day--in the 70's and sunny. She loved watching the fish splash in the different ponds. When we took her down to the viewing area there were lots of huge trout swimming right against the window and it kinda scared her a bit! She didn't want Oma to put her down on the ground--she held fast to her arms! We taught her to throw the food into the water (after she tasted one to make sure she wanted to share with the fishies). We also took some short hikes around the beautiful property at the hatchery, explored a caterpillar, played at a nearby park with swings, and then had lunch at a great little bakery where we sat outside under trees next to a creek. How much better can it get??? We definitely tired out our girl and she was tired enough to share some cuddles with Grandma Jan. If you know Q, she is too busy to cuddle unless she is too tired to protest. :) Here is a video of our fun!

Dear Grandaddy and Lil,

While you were out,
your birds had a little company in the birdbath.
