It was the weekend for our campout with our camping crew....
Here's a recap in lists:
:(
---------
-it rained. All weekend.
-fireants everywhere (just ask poor Joseph)
-mosquitos like crazy, the type that laugh at bugspray. Q's legs are COVERED.
-the boys and Jac had to leave Saturday morning to attend the funeral of a friend
-the whole bag of hamburger buns started growing green fuzz
-rainboots all weekend sans socks (oops) equals blisters for me and the Q
-our air mattress finally bit the dust. Big time.
-the kids had to mostly sit or be held the majority of the weekend due to the rain and the ants
-not a lot of sleep between scattered thunderstorms, noisy neighbors, and babies in strange beds.
-We were missing one family that is part of our group....and we really missed em!
:)
----------
-despite the rain and not being able to get down and run much, the kids were REALLY GOOD.
-Saturday morning when us adults were outnumbered by babies because half the group went to a funeral, the rain mostly stopped and we were able to do a long walk in fairly decent weather
-the rain mostly let up during mealtimes and in time for us to pack up camp not in a downpour
-the closest bathrooms were brand new and really nice
-everyone we camp with was a good sport about the yucky weather and we still managed to enjoy one another's company
-the kids did get a little bit of time to crawl around in the mud and puddles....Beck soaked through 3 pairs of pants and 3 pairs of shoes. Not all at once. ;)
And now for some photos......

Jenna discovered she loves corn on the cob.

The only thing to do in pouring rain...Sit under umbrellas and take a snooze. If you know Q, you know she's faking. She never sleeps.

Yes, Quinn did wear her pj's until 2pm on Saturday. We had more babies than adults under our charge and a trip back through the mud into the tent wasn't super-feasible, so she hiked in her pj's. I have no room to talk. I didn't change clothes once the entire weekend. Or brush my hair, wash my face..... It was just that kind of weekend......
And lapping rainwater off the cooler tops? Yes, please!
Trent was the Pied Piper of peaches. He had all the babies gathered around him begging for peaches like little birds at one point. It was all he could do to keep up!
S'Mores!!
And not to be outdone, Beck didn't make it out of his pj's until we got home today.
Q and I enjoyed some fall-ish leaves!
Yes, all of this was only for one weekend.....
Matt and I unpacked.....All our camping gear is now hanging in the garage to dry.
